The surface of the tile is smooth and shiny. Four felt pads under the tile protect your furniture from scratches (see below). These pads can be easily removed with a spatula to use your tiles in a mosaic arrangement. Dishwasher and detergent safe. Not for use with abrasive cups and mugs or any other abrasive materials.
