Handcarved Dragon Mask You are bidding on or buying a beautifully hand carved wood mask crafted out of solid wood. Its origins are in the Mountainous regions of the island of Luzon, The Philippines in Banaue. All of our items ship from Virginia, in the United States and our turn around on orders is second to none. This piece is a House Mask and depicts a Demon face. It is approximately 16" high and 8" wide and has a light stain.A house mask is believed to ward off evil spirits. It was carved by the Ifugao tribe of the Igorot people who are the inhabitants of that region. In buying this item, not only are you helping the local craftsmen, a percentage of your purchase cost goes to help The Childrens Shelter of Cebu, an organization that provides shelter for homeless and neglected Children in The Philippines. As each item is hand carved, each is unique. Our carvers strive to maintain consistency, however, the mask you receive may differ slightly in some small ways. We guarantee our products to be dried and treated properly to ensure years of enjoyment. We have many other hard to find and unique items on auction as well as in our eBay Store.
